Impacto psicossocial de pacientes candidatos a transplante de fígado

Resumo

Este artigo visa avaliar o impacto psicossocial (IP) dos cuidadores familiares (CF) e pacientes pré-transplante hepático. Trata-se de um estudo transversal e quantitativo, realizado no HC/UFMG. Foram aplicados três instrumentos: características demográficas, clínicas e, para IP, o inventário de Zarit. Os dados foram analisados por estatística descritiva e comparativa, utilizando-se o teste de Shapiro-Wilk, qui-quadrado e Kruskal-Wallis. Dos 119 participantes, a idade foi 50 ± 12; 73% eram homens; 70% eram casados; 60% possuíam ensino fundamental e 13% trabalhavam. O maior percentil de CF foi filhos, com 38,7% e o alfa foi = 0,81. Foi verificou-se relação entre masculino (0,018), escolaridade (0,014), encefalopatia (0,039), número de medicamentos (0,029) e alegria (0,028) com IP. Quando maior escolaridade, a alegria e quando não há doenças concomitantes, menor foi o IP nos CF. O maior IP nos CF foi dos pacientes homens, menor escolaridade, com encefalopatia, quando havia doença concomitante e maior número de medicamentos.
