Abstract

Crack Cocaine has been the drug with the greatest incidence, causative of fast chemical addiction and irreversible damages, which may take the user to death in a short time of using. The drug has quick effect, it lasts about 5 minutes, making the users use it with frequency. The present paper is bibliographical and aims to verify the consequences caused by the use of Crack Cocaine for its users, elucidating the signs and symptoms that permit its prevention. The methodology consisted in research texts and theoretics that approaches the subject. The instruments were books, sites on the Internet, researches and scientific articles. As a result, we can consider as relevant aspects for the prevalence of Crack Cocaine use: the immediate addiction; the easy access to the drug; death faster than the provoked for other drugs; the power of depersonalizing the user, the vulnerability of the adolescence and the relation with the well being feeling. We concluded therefore that the knowledge about these aspects is the best form of prevention.
