Originally intended for business management, THE information systems help organizations for them to be competitive. Focused on analyzing information to assist in decision-making, these systems have grown, and today are evolving into information systems technology. Considering itself as a system and as a set of organized elements with a common view, several market areas can fit themselves in this definition and have the benefit. One of the areas that most need help now is dentistry, since a large number of newly trained dentists are being added to this market every year, making this area a very competitive business. The main objective of this project is to include dentistry in the current challenging market through information systems technology specially developed for this health area. It also was a bibliographical study that helped in the development of a specific information system for dentistry. This information system was built through the collection and analysis of data from a dental office. It was used a programming language to implement the Visual Basic 6 with the database Microsoft SQL Server 7. Finally, the analysis and validation were done for its development.
