Abstract

Current analysis presents VAFP participation in the municipality´s VAFT and investigates the spatial distribution of vegetal products in the micro-region of Campo Mourão PR Brazil, based on gross product rates of each municipality during 2008. The study demonstrated that VAFP participation in the municipality´s VAFT may undergo interferences according to the presence or absence of industries. The municipalities with a high number of industries have a lower dependence rate in the agricultural sector. It has been shown that LQ is an adequate method for the analysis of the spatial distribution of vegetal production. Moreover, micro-regions, such as Campo Mourão, specialized in agricultural and cattle-breeding products, depend on the improvement of the agricultural sector for their growth and development.
