The afforestation situation of Estância de Águas de São Pedro – SP

Abstract

The present research is on the analysis and assessment of all individuals (trees, palm trees, conifers and bushes) that are on public roads in the Estância de Águas de São Pedro - SP, except the green areas. For all were inventoried 3694 individuals, of which 1.08% is constituted of dead people, 3.85% are presented in a terrible state, 15.35% in regular status, 58.68% in good condition and 20.50% in great condition. Among the individuals, 62.15% were unbalanced, and it had 1,18m of average height in the first fork, confirming the seeds planting without conduction and less charges than desirable. It was noticed 1.09% of hemiparasites individuals, 0.57% with heavy pest attacks and 1.94% with severe injuries. It was found that 14.56% of registered individuals damaged the paving floor and 1.99% of the individuals had the neck surrounded by pavement. It was found 52.12% individuals under wires. It follows that there is a need of a technical monitoring of seedlings suitable for implantation and how to conduct as well as the effective management of individual initiatives and the search for conflict alternatives of the equipment with the urban afforestation.
