Abstract

This study was conducted in the smaller fragment of Pioneers’ Park in Maringá - PR (10.58 ha) aiming to establish an analysis of the place to support proposals for enrichment. We mapped the locations of the most degraded areas and did study the floristic and phytosociological. For that were systematically allocated 20 plots of 100m2 and measured the subjects with CAP greater than or equal to 14.0 cm. There was the occurrence of 66 species, 60 genera and 40 families. The species with the highest rates of importance were Alchornea triplinervia (Spreng.) M. Arg., Nectandra megapotamica (Spreng.) Mez, Chrysophyllum gonocarpum (Mart. & Eichler ex Miq.) Engl. and Croton floribundus Spreng. The fragment as a whole appeared to be homogeneous in an intermediate succession stage. However, the species found in the riparian area, because they are pioneers, indicated a less advanced stage succession. The index of Shannon (H ') was considered important in some sessions, reaching a value of 3.61 for the forest around the alluvial part. The obtained results facilitated the development and implementation of the proposals for enrichment to the local forest.
