Anterior open bite prevalence
Abstract
The main objective of this paper is to assess the occlusal condition of 182 children of both sexes who partiped in our study at Cesumar University, Mringá, Paraná, during the stage of mixed dentition, within the age of 6 to 11 years old. The result showed that prevalent cases are of class I (51%) followed by class II (46%), and finally, by class III (3%), The morphological alterations found among the malocclusion are the followeing: anterior crossbite (7,83%), posterior crossbite (19,87%), deep bite (27,10%), antero-inferior crowding (39,75%), anterior open bite (43,97%), The frequency of anterior open bite prevailed among the groups of 1 to 5 minimum salary.
