Application of the PDCA (PLAN, DO, CHECK, ACTION) cycle in blood flour yield in an abattoir

Cattle blood and its compositions are highly relevant due to the functional and nutritional qualities of their proteins and to reduction of environmental pollution. From the economical point of view, it may be relevant for the production of intakes with high aggregated values. Current study develops the application of the PDCA cycle for yield increase of blood flour in an abattoir in the state of Paraná, Brazil. During the first four months of the year the industry had an average yield of 1.87 kg of blood flour per animal. Since the application of PDCA cycle increased its yield to 2.33 kg for each animal, the methodology proved to be successful to improve the production yield of blood flour.Downloads
