Analysis of Long-Term Financing for Granting Credit to Micro and Small Companies

Abstract

Literature demonstrates that micro and small companies need long-term financial resources and presents several discussions about this matter. The objective of this research was to identify the main factors that inhibit micro and small companies’ long-term resource availability elevation by Brazilian financial institutions. This paper describes aspects of funding investment from Keynesian’s perspective, the evolution of Brazilian’s financial system and the Basiléia’s agreement, directed credit from governmental programs and funds, and main challenges on micro and small companies long-term resources generation.
