Input-output and regional development: bibliometric analysis
Abstract
The input-output theory developed by Wassily Leontief shows the economical relationships in a region. In the case of regional development, analysing the manner sector relationships are set is the first step in devising development strategies. Current analysis undertakes a review of international scientific production based on Web of Science on input-output and regional development. Methodology involves bibliometrics since 1945 till September 2021. Results produced the mapping of 96 publications showing the evolution of scientific registers on the input-output analysis and regional development, especially as from 2014. Discussion is not limited to economical aspects but broadens the use of the model for social and environmental aspects.References
