Rabelais: satirizando o velho mundo

Abstract

This text is a result of refleccions about education in Rabelais, especifically in his work "Gargantua e Pantagurel". The analysis of his work enbled us to realize in a sensitive way the enturies XVI and XVII, time of so great happinings, when teh men beluve in their power of action and transformation of the reality. Therefore, in conimon and in validity, a new way of understanding the man came out, differently from the meddle age, and also in a new practice that does not show characteristics of the scholasticism philosophy. Considering that this thisker is acceptable as the legitimate representative of modern thinking mainly about education, we took some fo his criticism from his works in hwich he wrote how to teach, gave sugestions and rules to a successful to from a modern man.
