Abstract

: Current article investigates hierarchical relationships in intensive knowledge organizations so that their structures could be exploited. Research shows overcoming hierarchical relationships of self-administration. Imposition systems, non-conventional in intensive knowledge organizations, seem to be returning. Results demonstrate that there are two types of people and/or labor roles, administrators and researchers. The administrator is built as the responsible capable of going against researchers´ trends for the benefit of the firm. Researchers are built with a lower responsibility, give priority to investigation and have a short sighted idea of business. There is no system structure for self-administration and for imposition administration. A hybrid model may be perceived that varies in degrees in the wake of the inclusion of a new element. The element is the context or environment in which the organization is inserted. During uncertain times, a search for imposition system structure is sought whereas otherwise a self-administration system is desired.
