RESILIENCE AND MORAL HARASSMENT: SITUATION EXPERIENCED BY A TEACHER IN A PUBLIC INSTITUTION

Abstract

Positive psychology comprises analysis of resilience. It is the result of a process during a certain time period in which people´s body and mainly the mind face and go beyond an adverse situation. Current paper deals with moral harassment and it aims at demonstrating the resilience process in the behavior of a teacher that experienced the issue for more than eleven years in a government institution in which she worked. The descriptive, qualitative and quantitative research contains a temporal section with a longitudinal perspective. Results show that factors that triggered the resilience process in the behavior of the teacher were faith in God, competence, self-esteem, self-determination, help of friends and relatives.
