Abstract
The Brazilian folk songs in the blog Oficina de Cordel, actually a space for debates and the dissemination of popular literature, are analyzed. The blog is a section of the analyzed corpus and is available at . Current investigation, featuring quality and conceptual characteristics, discusses the constant modifications which occur from the printed to the digital version and investigates the innovations in popular literature for the reader. Current research is justified due to the increasing publications of the Brazilian folk song in northeastern Brazil, its accessibility to people and its social and cultural role. Current investigation is foregrounded on the theoretical presuppositions of Arantes (1982), Curran (1991), Marcuschi & Xavier (2004) and Miller (2012) who evidence the Brazilian folk song within the printed and digital versions.
