Abstract

A case study on the applicability of a protocol in cognitive-behavioral therapy in the attendance of a female patient in grief for a son is analyzed. Current analysis describes a step-by-step attendance of patients in grief and underscores the efficaciousness of a protocol applied to a clinical case. There was a significant improvement after its application with regard to the patient´s interpretation of her son´s death. She revealed a better capacity for reevaluation of interpretations, with better behavior in nostalgia and more positive emotions.
