Abstract

The expressive numeric growth of private higher education institutions in Latin America enables the graduation of a greater number o people, increasing the contingency of individuals at such educational level. The Bologna’s Declaration, characterized as an agreement entered by several European countries for the unification of higher education until 2010, gains transatlantic dimensions and arrives in Latin America. Thus, in the Mercosul, the proposal for higher education unification will take place through Mercosul Educational, prioritizing, in a first moment, the mobility of students among member-countries. In face of the increasing number of people with university degrees in Latin America, this work present two main concerns: a) the establishment of minimal standards enable the unifying of a reference education in Latin America and; b) the formation of the human character not only technical, but holistic and critical.
