Considering the importance of the various professional roles in an educational institution, among them the University, this study will focus its analysis on the teaching coordinator, aiming to identify issues regarding his role in graduate programs and his relationship with education management in the democratic perspective. In the end, the study emphasizes that the coordination needs to be clear that when the pedagogical proposal, when implemented, managed and evaluated by all segments, will provide a quality and liberating education, and that higher education plays a key role in the transformation process, initially bringing back the references and collective belief that it is possible to intervene in the historical development process of the society.
