Abstract

Current research discusses aspects related to mediation forms that regulated the Iberian Medieval Law through the figure of the king. Mediation is shown in narratives included in the chronicles and books of genealogies of those times. The relationships between History, Justice and Power are discussed within a specific narrative discourse and through methodologies directed to structural analysis. The narrative sources examined are the “Books of Lineages” that were the genealogies of medieval Iberian nobility.
