Abstract

The number of vehicles is on the rise, a consequence of increasing technological progress worldwide. The Brazilian situation is underscored by facilities to obtain loans and to the country’s growth, since Brazil is currently one of the developing countries that most affects world economy. Several issues mainly and frequently linked to unplanned city traffic are extant, coupled to success in sales. Since these problems comprise safety, flow, comfort and others, it is highly important to understand their functionality and the factors that influence them. Current study applied the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) methodology, normally used in the development of industrial products, to evaluate the quality of car traffic in Brazilian cities. The method’s flexibility related technical variables that integrate the process with the requirements of the issues involved. Tests with data on Maringá PR Brazil were performed and results showed that the methodology might be of great help to understand both the process and the management.
