Inclusion Experience of a Therapy Residence in Garanhuns, Brazil

The processes developed by health and network teams in the inclusion of a Therapy Residence in Garanhuns PE Brazil and its implication as a new health practice are discussed. Interviews with 40 individuals, comprising 35 members of the community where the Therapy Residence was established, and 5 health professionals, were undertaken. Analysis of the material retrieved from the interviews produced 9 categories which showed the processes of social insertion of the residents in the community. Results show that TR in Garanhuns is supported by public health network with regard to physical health even though planning and articulation between the network and other social networks are required so that an approach between the residents and the community may be obtained.Downloads
