Decrease in pesticides and agrochemicals has a key role for more sustainable agriculture, with lower environmental impact, greater profit and social well-being. A sustainable system of food production is the result of agricultural practices capable of increasing, protecting, recovering and conserving ecosystem services. The employment of biological products, including inoculants and biodefense products for biological control (BC), is a very relevant strategy. Growth-promoting bacteria have numberless benefits to agriculture, increase in nutrient availability, reduction of hormones of vegetal growth, induction of systemic resistance or direct pest and pathogen control, bringing about an increase in vegetal growth and productivity. Current paper aims at discussing different mechanisms employed between bacteria and the host plant.References
