Abstract

Leisure is closely related to the quality of living, but it does not always take place in a satisfactory way. In low-income communities it is easy to perceive some difficulties of its outdoors use due to its localization, the cost of transportation, and a lack of knowledge about these areas, which, in its turn, are few. Besides these problems, there is the government´s lack of commitment, so that these communities may have access to leisure specific equipment in the city of Maringá. aiming at addressing this reality, this research has attempted to find means so that low-income individuals may carry out outdoors leisure activities by analyzing how the practice of leisure may generate improvements in the qualiy o living, as well as to propose an intevention policy to the problem.
