Abstract

Within his theoretical path that was aimed at defining ontology of social being, the Hungarian philosopher Georg Lukács came to definitions of an aesthetic theory based on Marxism. Based on the historical and dialectical materialism to analyze the artistic production, large contributions of scientific socialism, Lukács studied the evolution of art from the time that it reached its self-consciousness, in other words, man has produced art with conscious, and not as something only utilitarian. The author differentiated the form to reflect the daily life through the aesthetic in relation to the considerations made by science and as a result of this process, defined categories as particularity and specificity. Mainly through his Theory of Daily Aesthetic Mirroring, formed the Theory of Aesthetic Realism, whose works of authors such as Honoré de Balzac and Stendhal are identified and analyzed as masterpiece, even though the time was not propitious for it.
