Abstract

The deterministic methods for investment analysis on the assessment of profitability, were and still are widely used in the company´s decision taking, serving as a beacon for decisions. Hewever, the compexity of the bisiness environment has fumed such methods insufficient as an assessment tool. the company´s position in the face of profits has been altered: it is no longer the top condition in the acceptance of a particular investiment, and factors such as consumer satisfaction, market leadership and environment protection start to figure as ctiteria taken into account in the choice for an alternative. Thus, this article has the objective to discuss the importance of investiment analysis within the process of decision taking, observing which methods are adequate for differenct situations.
