The conception of adolescence according to the studnts themselves

Abstract

This research had the objective of investigating how teenagers percelve themselves as studntes, Thenidenily is built on a learning process that implies the mturing of their capcity of integrating the prersent, the past the future, which can be seen as an action; it is the individual that builds his consistency and his recogniton within the limits imposed by the environment and by the social relationships. The study of the adolescent´s social representation is justified by the fact that the student tends to relate to other members of the school. Therefore, to identify the little consistent of education quality. Then, 20 adolescents of both sexes enrolled in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd tears of high school from two different schools, one public and one private in the city of Mandaguari - PR were interviewed. The analysis of the data had a qualitative chacarteristic, subdivided into six categories: 1) the influence of edolescence; 2) difficulties of the adolescents; 3) concerns of the adolescent; 4) the influence of the friends; 5) the influence of the family; 6) the importance of the school. It has been concluded that adolescence represents a period of the human development in which hreat physical, social and psychological changes take place impacting on the adolescent´s behavior. Because they are living the same experience they stick fogether abiding to eat other values, being more important that the family´s ones. However, for the construction of their identity, the adolescent also look up to leachers, relaives and the media for reference.
