Early detection of diseases in soybean crops is essential to reduce yield losses. However, tra-ditional methods based on manual inspections are inefficient. This study presents a deep neu-ral network approach for classifying diseases in soybean plants. Pre-trained models (Res-Net101, VGG19, DenseNet201, and MobileNetV3 Large) were fine-tuned with ground-level images and applied to aerial images captured by unmanned aerial vehicles. The domain differ-ence affected performance, with DenseNet201 achieving the best results on ground images (accuracy of 0.9691 and macro-F1 of 0.9690). Nevertheless, the model correctly identified 90% of diseased plants in aerial images. It is concluded that the proposed approach is promising but requires improvements in preprocessing and domain adaptation techniques.
