Abstract
Total amount of salts in leachate and soil during four cycles of crops consecutively irrigated with swine culture wastewater (ARS) is evaluated. ARS was applied at rates 0, 100, 200 and 300 m³.ha-1 coupled to two fertilizer levels (AD), 50 and 75% of culture, in three replicates. The crops were consecutively corn, soybeans, oats and soybeans. As a rule, ARS applications up to 300 m³.ha-1 coupled to 50 and 75% fertilization levels of crop failed to cause any contamination in groundwater and soil with regard to electrical conductivity for the crops under analysis. A slight increase in total amount of salts in the soil was registered when successive applications were undertaken. Leached salts level was higher in legumes since these crops do not need any extra nitrogen supply.
