Abstract

It is known that the methodology of dance fomented in contemporaneity presents considerable results regarding the human being's whole development. However its applicability in the traditional teaching institutions is still not satisfactory. According to this context, the present research comes with the aim of developing a relationship between the proposals of contemporary dance and the educational proposals that are being discussed nowadays, so that its importance as an educational element can be put in evidence. Our present choice is to work with the Historical-critical Pedagogy, due to the proximities between its proposals and contemporary dance’s. Through the accomplishment of that research, which is characterized as bibliographical, it can be noticed that both proposals follow the same direction, in other words, the human being's critical social formation. This way we can notice that the discussions concerning the Dance in Contemporaneity are directly related with the Historical-critical Pedagogy teaching proposal.
