Abstract

Parkinson’s disease is a pathology caused by the death of cells in the mesencephalon’s compact black substance that decreases the production of dopamine and damages the motor system. Although its etiology is still unknown, it may be caused by genetic and environmental factors. Current research is a bibliographic review of the possible etiologies of PD in recent scientific articles on the main factors that may trigger the development of the disease
