Study included an interview with the application of SF-36 validated for Brazil, demographic and socio-economical data collection, data on life style and use of drugs. Fifty hypertensive people were interviewed, of which 64% were females, aged between 60 and 69 years old (32%). Population was compromised in functional capacity, mental health, health status evolution, with the exception of social aspects.
