Nutritional Profile and Food Consumption of Teenager Participants of the Nucleous Project of Athletics Practices

Abstract

The objective of that research was to characterize the nutritional state and food consumption of teenagers that began the Athletics Practices Project of the University Center of Maringá. They were appraised 24 teenagers, being 14 male and 10 female. It was calculated the index of corporal mass, the index of adiposity and thin mass. For the food consumption the alimentary registration was used for 3 days. As for the nutritional state there was found 92,8% of the boys and 60% of the girls in eutrophy. The adiposity index was 57,1% lower for the boys 80% medium for the girls and for thin mass for boys and girls were 85,72% and 79,16% respectively in eutrophy. It was observed that calories measurements were below recommended and the macronutrients were found adequate. It was concluded that the adolescents met in eutrophy, with low consumption of calories, however percentile adequate of macronutrients.
