Oral rehabilitation of a patient showing bruxism and alteration of the vertical dimention
Abstract
this work describes a partial adentulous famele patient with occlusion alteration, showing severe bruxism, who sought rehabilitation treatment at the Dental Shool of Piracicaba - UNICAMP, Brasil. After careful examination it was observed the necessity of a complex rehabilitation procedure involving the use of removable partial dentures to restore the occlusion relationship. Diagnosis and dental treatment was performed and a double plane splint was installed to recover the lost vertical relation and centric occlusion. After artificial teeth reposition with removable partial dentures the signals and symptoms disappeared.
