JOHN DEWEY CONTRIBUIÇÕES EDUCACIONAIS: UM NOVO MODO DE PENSAR A ESCOLA
Abstract
Current paper comprises a short bibliographic analysis which discusses John Dewey´s contribution as a theorist who thought and wrote on education with the main proposals for a new idea for the school. His Democracy and Education (1959), Life and Education (1975) and Experience and Education (2010) deal with founding principles for the construction of a new educational proposal while criticizing the school and traditional teaching. Discussions reflect the author´s intentionality to innovate the school and education through the centrality of the student with the learning-teaching process and the mediating activities of the teacher as from the concept of experience.References
