Abstract

What is the relation between leisure and health? How can adventure physical activities be enriched or impoverished from a biological reading of health? To answer these questions in the field of leisure studies, a confrontation between heartbeat frequency and social representations of participants in an ecological trekking in a countryside city in Paraná was carried out. Although preliminary, the results indicate that there is a correlation between individual/collective perception and physiological parameters, leading to the understanding that the combination of these two sources is important for planning the physical-sportive leisure in natural areas.
