Abstract

Cassava is found throughout the national territory, being an important source of food and income. This crop has a high relationship with soil microorganisms. In this context, the objective was to evaluate the response of the cultivars IAC 12 and Talo Branco to inoculation with Bacillus subtilis, Azospirillum brasilense, Bacillus megaterium + Bacillus subtilis and Azospirillum brasilense + Bacillus megaterium + Bacillus subtilis. The experiment was conducted in the field in Iporá-GO, in a randomized block design, with four replications. Fertilization and phytosanitary treatments were carried out following technical recommendations for the crop. The harvest was carried out in October 2022, where biometric attributes, productivity, dry matter and starch content of the roots were evaluated, also estimating ethanol production. Cassava cultivars showed different responses to the inoculants used. For IAC 12, the inoculation of Bacillus subtilis and the coinoculation of Azospirillum breasilense + Bacillus subtilis + Bacillus megaterium provided root production greater than 34 tons per hectare. This cultivar also had a higher starch content, resulting in an estimated ethanol production similar to sugar cane. On the other hand, for Talo Branco, there was no response to the inoculants.
