Invasion by alien species represents one of the main threats to biodiversity, particularly in urban environments. This study assessed the distribution and density of Leucaena leucocephala in urban valley bottoms of Maringá, Paraná, Brazil, evaluating its occurrence and potential association with environmentally vulnerable areas of Atlantic Forest remnants. The study employed geospatial mapping of vegetation cover using a high-resolution orthomosaic and vector data processed in QGIS, with validation through field surveys. The results indicated that invasive alien species occupied 12.16% of the mapped area, with L. leucocephala accounting for 9.56% of the total vegetation cover and 78.69% of the invaded area. Spatial analysis revealed that the observed distribution pattern suggests that the hydrographic network and urban drainage infrastructure may represent important potential pathways for propagule dispersal, under a scenario intensified by edge effects and anthropogenic disturbances. The formation of monodominant stands may represent a potential risk to native flora recruitment and the maintenance of ecosystem services associated with riparian areas. It is concluded that urban valley bottoms are priority areas for monitoring, management, and ecological restoration using native species.
