Abstract

The Brazilian citrus industry, especially the São Paulo’s section, has historically shown power clashes between its two principal agents, namely orange and orange juice producers. When the positioning of these agents within a strategy network and relationship is taken into consideration, it is normal that they co-create. However, this fact has not produced any results due to the conflict which still endures in the productive segment. Current research presents a historical review of the main events of this relationship and forwards the main points of the Value Co-Creation Theory. Benefit status of opportunities of joint value creation in this particular segment under the aegis of the above-mentioned theory is also investigated.
