USABILITY: EVALUATING A MEASURING SCALE IN AN ONLINE REGISTRATION SYSTEM IN A PUBLIC UNIVERSITY

The dissemination of information technology through the WEB increases interest for the development of studies on the usability of software, or rather, the degree in easiness or difficulty that the user has to understand what is presented on the interface. Current analysis evaluates which usability attributes of online registration systems are most important according to undergraduate students in a government-run university. The research instrument was answered by 360 undergraduate students from the State University of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, and analyzed by the Confirmatory Factorial Analysis. Investigation identified three attributes in the students´ perception for the use of online registration system in a public university, namely, performance, learning and flexibility, with special reference to the first one.Downloads
