Abstract

The Publication of the Constitutional Amendment n. 66 of July 13, 2010, generated a revision of paradigms in the Brazilian legal scenario. The changes brought by the amendment and its consequences provoked and still provoke several questionings, especially within the religious and legal fields. The questionings focus on the trivialization of marriage or on the decrease in suffering of the parties in a divorce suit, caused by procedural simplification. Current article discusses the repercussions of these changes in family courts and in the extrajudicial notary offices and reflects on an amendment that must overcome many divergences to reach the goals that motivated their origin.
