Topography of hearing hallucination as a possible understanding of the language of subjectivity
Abstract
The topography of hallucinations denotes the exploration of its characteristics. Topographic variables of hallucinatory voices of users of a Psychosocial Care Center are analyzed. Ten people were interviewed and their reports analyzed by Content Analysis. Variables comprised “intensity”, “frequency”, “contents”, “quantity”, “identity”, “gender”, “the shape they appeared”, “emotional valence” and “influence level”. Voices may be related to the hearer´s biography and vary in frequency and quantity. Contents deal with structure issues of the interviewees´ life, with deep conflicts. Identity and gender are variables that may facilitate access to the comprehension of the phenomenon. Commands were the most frequent, with suicide attempts.
