Abstract
Data on Nellore cattle embryos (donors) submitted to in vitro fertilization and on cattle without any defined breed (receptor) which received embryos from donors by embryo transference are analyzed. Assay comprised 762 animals and verified the effect of period and animal group submitted to embryo transference on the pregnancy rate with embryos from in vitro production. Significant effect for the variable period was reported, in which the first (38.19%), third (36.72%), fifth (38.17%) and seventh (31.03%) periods statistically differed from the second (16.96%), fourth (28.77%) and sixth (25.74%) periods. Significant effect also occurred between the second, fourth and sixth periods where the fourth statistically differed from the second and sixth periods. Significant effect was reported also in the case of the variable animal group, namely, between group 4 (16.42%) and groups 1 (34.30%), 2 (33.07%) and 3 (34.08%). Variables period and animal group are relevant variation sources of pregnancy rate of receptors submitted to embryo transference with embryos from in vitro production.
