Current analysis evaluates the compost system as an alternative for control of pollution by swine culture wastes on Granja Serpa II in Xanxerê SC Brazil and verifies the required controls for compost processing, premises projects and management of mechanized compost fabrication according to the requirements of the Brazilian Environmental Law. Qualitative research was undertaken through the diagnosis of a farm. Compost affects directly the total volume of wastes produced, featuring considerable reduction and maturation, making them less aggressive in terms of microbial contamination. Close system of horizontal flow comprised narrow and long corridors on which a revolving machine distributes and revolves the wastes while homogenizing substrate and wastes with aeration and steam precipitation. The final product is a dry inert organic fertilizer with relevant qualities for agricultural use. The installation of a compost system for the treatment of swine liquid wastes in a production farm favors the farmer with a low cost system, better agronomic quality of organic manure and lower transport and distribution expenses. Waste treatment through aerobic fermentation in compost units significantly reduces the risk in environmental impact and in bad smells when compared to those in anaerobic processes.Downloads
