Smart Contracts and Blockchain as copyright protection mechanisms on the internet
Abstract
In order to analyze the fragility of copyright within the context of the digital world, presenting a solution through smart contract technology. This article analyzes the possibility of the use of blockchain technology as copyright protection mechanisms of these rights, in addition to studying the fragility of copyright in the digital world, which was taken over by a copy culture perpetrated by the users themselves. From this perspective, smart contracts show themselves as an possible solution to the problems of unauthorized copying and distribution of digital assets. However they still have obstacles to overcome so that they can be used for the purpose of copyright protection. For the elaboration of this article, qualitative research was used, focusing on the deductive method, which is demonstrated in the bibliographic review of scientific articles and the study of Brazilian legislation.References
